Wild Acres Horse Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abused, neglected, and surrendered horses. We're seeking a compassionate, organized individual to serve as Secretary on our Board of Directors.
Position: Secretary – Board of Directors
Time Commitment: ~ 4 to 20 hours/month (Flexible hours)
Term Length: 2 years
Location: Remote and Onsite
Compensation: Unpaid (Volunteer Position)
Your Role Includes:
Attending monthly board meetings (Telegram or in-person)
Taking and distributing accurate meeting minutes
Organizing board records and correspondence
Scheduling meetings, manage agendas and communications
Support and maintain nonprofit compliance and documentation
What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication and organizational skills
Professionalism and confidentiality
Passion for animal welfare with commitment to WAHR’s mission
Prior board or nonprofit experience a plus – not required!
