AVAILABLE HORSES

Harley is a black 10 month old mini pony colt. He has a fun personality and loves to play with you. He is a quick learner with a level head. Harley will stand for the farrier and will lunge on a line. He will also back up when asked. You can also pet him all over. Treats (mints are his favorite) are always welcomed. His itchy spots are a great distraction when he acts up while training. Harley really needs his own person. He wants to bond with a special someone. Can you give this fuzzy baby his forever home?

Meet Mattie. She is a registered paint mare who is 22 years old. As you can see, she loves to be dirty. She is an awesome horse for a beginner or child. Haven’t seen any spook in her and she is very well behaved. Mattie does exhibit mild heaves on occasion, which can be maintained when necessary, with antihistamines. Nattie does well by herself or with a companion. She has spent many years as a trail horse. Would you be able to be Mattie’s forever and give her a new home?

This is Mr. G.W. He is an older 20 something paint gelding. We believe he was a gaming horse in his younger days by the way he moves and carries himself. When he could no longer compete, G.W. was donated to the Eisenhower Center for therapy sessions with brain trauma patients. This role in his life went about 10 years. He has retired and can no longer be ridden. His front knees have been worn down, however, he is not exhibiting pain symptoms and he is a very easy keeper. G.W. is still full of life and is very friendly and responsive when he sees you. He would make an excellent companion for a lonesome soul. G.W. will be low in the pecking order as he doesn’t want to fight for standings.

Our Mission

Wild Acres Horse Rescue will help every at risk equine we can through rescue and surrender. They may be neglected, unhealthy, discarded, surrendered, etc. It doesn’t matter to us.

We will give that horse a second chance in life. We may be their only chance. Whether they are permanent residents or they follow our adoption process, we strive to find each horse a new loving home. We are aware that we cannot save every horse, the ones we do will forever change their lives.
